It's been a WHILE

Looking back at things, I've noticed that it has been a while. Funny how you set out to do one thing and then something else comes along. I said to myself "wow, has it been that long since we were last here together?" I don't like it when people change things up on me without a warning, a notice, an invite to the change party. I mean geesh, where's the common courtesy. NEWS flash, if it were common then....I think you get it by now.

It is good to be back and let me say it is never too late to restart something to started but didn't see it through. So here we are! There has been so much that has happened since we were last together. Tax season has come and gone and come and gone again. For those who have timely filed there 2021 Income Tax returns, CONGRATULATIONS! For those of you who timely filed an extension, SMART MOVE, but remember, the extension DOES NOT provide additional time to pay any taxes due, that was still due on April 18th. Interest is accruing daily on any amounts due after that due date.

Extensions are through October 15th and that does not mean that you have to wait until then to file. You have up until then to get the return completed and filed so let's not put that task too far on the back burner that we loose sight of it.

This is also a great time in the year to make sure all your financials are up to date and that you are where you want to be within your financial goals. People still set those just so you know. Summer is here and vacations are in order but don't think that you have to live like the Jones' to enjoy a summer vacation then end up depressed afterwards.

Remember to plan ahead and give yourself and others grace. We are in this together and I'm not just saying that because it was ran in the ground during the "COVID" but because it is what we are charged to do. Lester Holt says it best at the end of every show. If you don't know who that is, it is perfectly okay.

This is still the place to come and don't forget to grab your favorite cup of tea (mine is ginger tea with honey and lemon)! So come on by anytime! There is so MUCH I'd like to share with you on my journey into the virtual world

Until we talk again, may the peace of Christ be with

πŸ‘€ Why You Need an Enrolled Agent in Your Book of Business πŸ’Ό

What’s an Enrolled Agent Anyway? If you’re reading this, chances are you care about your coins and want to level up your financial game. πŸ’° Let me introduce you to your new best friend in the tax world: the Enrolled Agent, lovingly known as the EA. Now, I know some might think tax talk is dry, but trust me, it isn't! Plus, I hear two things in life are certain and welp TAXES is one of them so you might want to know a little bit about them πŸ˜‰ An Enrolled Agent is a tax professional who’s been blessed (seriously, it’s tough!) by the IRS itself. Unlike CPAs or attorneys, EAs specialize in taxes—living, breathing, and sometimes even dreaming of deductions and credits. (I am guilty ✋)  The IRS gives them the power to represent taxpayers in front of Uncle Sam, handling everything from prepping returns to fighting audits, and even negotiating on your behalf. Basically, EAs are the superheroes of the tax universe, capes and calculators included. πŸ–© Why Is It Important to Have an EA on...

3 Things You NEED to do...

3 Things You Can Do... To make your Accountant happy at tax time ☺ Want to be your accountant’s favorite client? (Well, even more than you are now, of course) The key is to take a bit of time now to start preparing for your tax return appointment, so your accountant has everything they need, when they need it, to complete your return.     Of course, as a favorite client, you already know that the days of dropping off a shoebox of receipts and tax documents at the front desk…waiting for a call to let you know you forgot such-and-such documents…stopping by to drop off the missing info…waiting for the call that your return is done…then stopping in to pick up the finished return, is in the past. (Thank goodness, right?) Today’s financial world has evolved to a near-breathtaking level of efficiency and digital delivery. So much, in fact, that you don’t even have to drop the information off in person anymore.  And that is exactly what some firms prefer.😁    ...
